Aims
CIC 1402 activities are structured in three areas:
- Clinical Investigation according to the following research areas
- Axis 1: Pathophysiology and therapeutics in myeloproliferative disorders
- Axis 2: Nutrition, fetal and postnatal factors and chronic diseases
- Axis 3: Clinical Neurosciences
- Methodology in Clinical Research
- Methodological support for research projects: protocol design, data management, statistical analysis, publications…
- Clinical Epidemiology Research (axis 4)
- Collection of biological resources – the biobank:
- Logistical , technical and regulatory support for researchers in preservation of human biological samples
- Available human biological samples together with phenotypic data for research teams in research projects
- Translational research involving research units of the University Hospital, INSERM and the University of Poitiers
In order to undertake these activities, the CIC 1402 provides:
– An official research center for adult and pediatric clinical research (authorization awarded by the Regional Health Agency (ARS)
– A multidisciplinary research team consisting in physicians, researchers, clinical research assistants, research nurses, manager, data-manager, biostatistician, quality manager…
– An appropriate environment with adult and pediatric beds, archive space, meeting rooms, cryopreservation room, consultations, specialized equipment…
– Assurance of the full respect of applicable regulations (procedures, technical forms, records)
